Patrick Warburton Wastes Considerable Talents in New "I'm a Mac" Ad |

I'd probably buy one for my own personal use if not for the hardware defects that surface so regularly, and these smug ignorant ads. I don't want to be seen using a Mac, and associated with people who actually believe this crap. The last time I had a virus was about ten years ago. There are virus scanners for Macs because there are viruses for Macs. Neither platform "just works" but the degree to which they do work is a lot closer than Apple would ever admit. MS is at least smart enough to attack them on the factual level regarding hardware price, as opposed to pretending their OS is stuck 13 years in the past.

good to know! and knowing is half the battle!

Same thing they're already doing - they'll pretend that PCs haven't changed since 1996, and casually forget to mention all the hangs and "spinning beach ball of death" on OSX.

Also.. Shame on you Apple, for keeping your users in the dark about the reality of threats to OSX.

People always complain that Macs cost more. That's been proven incorrect, apples to, um, apples. And Apples show far fewer problems and have FAR better support survey scores than any PC product.
You're allowed to be smug when you're right.

The problem is that the mac is unprotected. It's like a guy not using a condom because is 100% sure he's girl won't step out on him and lets face it, a mac's girldfriend is more likely to do that (since she's attracted to looks and not substance)

YEAH!!!1 I went there! WHAT?! WHAT?!
SUCK IT, NERDS!

New purchasers have no reason to want a computer you can be smug about. Current Mac users do though..

And I'm really starting to get annoyed with the mac is not a PC, its an x86/x64 architecture computer, its nothing crazily spectacular to be not a PC....

PC = Hardware
Bottom line.

I mean seriously. Senfield and the Tick? You plug him for that and not Venture Brothers? Laaame!

2. I can't tell if you're being facetious or not but to say what viruses for Windows, certainly sounds sarcastic to me. Also, I don't think any window multimedia applications are as vertically intergrated as OSX.
3. Lets not forget, as you certainly won't, Apple computers cost far more than Window's computers. If I am some jackass looking to get rich of a virus, why would I ignore the Apple community knowing that they must obviously have more money to spend?
Anyway, at what point do you stop defending windows and just try something different?

2. I think you'll find most people on this site haven't had many viruses at all with windows for many years. Most days there trojans and such which Mac's are equally susceptible.
Which is always fun to watch a mac person say "we don't get viruses" completely missing the fact both are susceptible to trojans and other nasties(just Windows machines have AV that'll pick it up).
3. I'm sure some jackass looking to get rich might attack the business that are all running Windows PCs rather than the college students n 'arty types'.

I still think the best was the one about the Vista advertising budget.
