I'd be slightly more impressed if the desk actually held a computer cooled by liquid through immersion. True, you'd have to abandon the HD's for SSD's, but it would be so much cooler.

Finally...I can run windows pipes screensaver @ 90 frames a second!......In all seriousness I thought the see thru case and blue lights look died back in the 90's

@Joseph Camp: It did. However, the see through desk w/a computer inside and blue lights will die in 2012(It's what the myans were warning us about).

Amazing!!! I bet you could get brilliant airflow over that thing if you leave both sides of the desk open and shove 3 or more fans on either end

@toreil: You don't need airflow if it's liquid cooled........

@Fourthletter: Incorrect btw, even liquid cooled systems should have some air flow over the north and/or southbridge. And as Drakino points out, the radiators have fans as well.

@Kalamaty: That's why PopMech should've just filled the desk with mineral oil. Wouldn't have to worry about a thing and silent running.

@EqualOpportunityCrasher: Except destroying their hard drives and the fans on the PSU and Video Card.

@AtConsumeristPanel_GitEmSteveD...: Mineral Oil is non-conductive, the HDD would have no problem at all. The PSU fan would be fine, and if you have a GPU modified to be able to be liquid-cooled, there's no problem there, either.

@GrinningKestrel: I wasn't talking about conductivity. You will be getting oil INTO the HDD through it's pressure equalizing vent, which is not good, as they are NOT designed to be running in an environment where they meet resistance, which oil would present. Also, as the oil slowly enters, the heads splashing into it would create bubbles, also not good for a sensitive piece of equipment. As for the PSU and GPU, if they have fans, fans are not meant to run in conditions where there is constantly heavier than normal resistance. This will burn them out, which is not good, so you would need to remove them, and some computers/PSU/GPUs will throw errors if a fan isn't present.

@AtConsumeristPanel_GitEmSteveD...: I've seen computers modded in such a fashion, it's why I brought it up. You could always create a bay with your harddrives that was separate from the rest of the computer. That way, if one fried or you wanted to swap them out, it would be really easy. As for GPU and PSU fans, you could always isolate them. Plus, I'm sure you could find people who have the know how to trick the card and PSU into thinking the fan is there when it's gone.

@EqualOpportunityCrasher: The answer is an SSD. SSD's don't have a vent hole, so they would work perfect. From what i understand, it's the passthroughs for all the cables that are a pain.

This is actually a great space saving idea. I would love to be able to have my computer INSIDE my desk

@Mike Daly: Personally I would prefer a desk with drawers...

Seems kinda silly if you end up having to walk across the room every time you need a pen, stapler, paperclip, notecard, blank cd, etc...
