Penny Arcade shows an educated guess at how much you're going to like Microsoft's retail stores when they open right next to Apple ones this fall. Spoiler: a lot. [PA]

<![CDATA[New Zune Ad Obliterated Because, You Know, It's Stupid]]> Wes Moss. Certified financial planner. WSJ reader. Local host radio. Porcelain dog collector. Ultradouche. Jason nailed him. Now Penny Arcade has a take on the Zune Pass itself with the argument of the Zune ad.

They are kinda right, but they're not taking into account the 10 free songs you get a month under the pass.

Even if you take out the argument that you may already (legally) own all your iPod music in CDs, and even if you take out the argument that most people fill their iPods with pirated music, at the end, no matter what you do, you are paying for a temporary service. Once you stop paying, most of your music will be gone forever (the songs you didn't get for free every month that you get to keep). [Penny Arcade]

<![CDATA[The Ultimate DS Lite Zelda Mod]]> Our buddy Ramon (who if you remember, created the ultimate Legend of Zelda Wii mod) has done it again. This time he's taken an otherwise plain-Jane Nintendo DS Lite and turned it into a Legend of Zelda masterpiece that Miyamoto would be proud to use himself on the train to work every morning—that is, if he didn't have a couple of slaves picking him up in a gold-covered chariot instead.

As with the Wii Mod, some of the proceeds of this DS Mod auction are going towards Child's Play, Penny Arcade's charity for sick kids.

<![CDATA[Penny-Arcade on CES: Part 1]]> Gabe may have wanted to rub his penis all over Sharp's 108-inch LCD, but a lot of you folks would have rather seen our own Jason Chen put that huge beast in his pants. Regardless, enjoy all 108 inches however you see fit.

<![CDATA[Penny Arcade On the Zune's WiFi]]>
Gabe and Tycho deftly tackle the impending and terrible ramifications of the Zune's WiFi powers. And to think that we'd thought it would be something akin to gravy, plus a cherry on top, plus a bag of chips. Which probably only sounds good when you're really hungry.

Anyhow, they're right about the limited functionality, something we'd read on the blogosphere, somewhere, but thought was too boring to post (until someone drew the story out for us using fewer, smaller words and pretty pics.) Luckily, the Zune's WiFi capabilities are nowhere close to being done upon launch, and we can expect to see many, many upgrades to its ability to send tunes through the air, magically, once those firmware flashes start flashing.
