That's one hilarious product.
Seriously though, I feel bad for the red tape. Seems like no one buys it. I may pick up a pity roll.

I mean, he built an airplane out of bamboo and regular duct tape - even though Mythbusters disproved this, they're just not MacGyver.

Mythbusters hardly ever disproves a damn thing. In fact it's impossible in most cases to prove a negative.
Just because they're not able to do [a thing] doesn't mean that someone else couldn't do it. They are a couple of pompous wankers (especially the one with the asinine hats and attitude problem).

Duct tape is easy after practicing tearing gaffer tape.
02/20/09
No way. Gaff tape is designed to tear cleanly, whereas duct tape always either gets stretched out of shape, or bunched up at the end.

I worked in the industry for 17 years. Gaffers tape is great. Wish I could get it where I live now.

Gaff tape tears cleaner than so-called duct tape, but that doesn't tell you a thing about how strong it is in most applications. And I'm not sure it's an issue of being less sticky or if it's just a better grade of adhesive that prevents it from leaving residue as easily.
@Bodie1550:
Surely you've heard of this thing that they call the "internet", right?

Which is the reason you're really not supposed to use the stuff for ductwork, particularly the hot variety (furnace, dryer, etc.). The name "duct tape" actually comes from Duck Tape, the original brand that was developed as a waterproof tape to keep ammo dry during WWII (no ductwork involved). For ductwork, you're really supposed to use an adhesive aluminum tape (instead of the plastic-bonded fiber backing, it's just a really thin strip of aluminum, which tends not to melt at temperatures that won't burn your house down first.

I always thought duct tape was total shit.
It dries out and crumbles after a while, so it's not good for anything permanent. And its adhesive leaves nuts amounts of residue, so it's crap for anything temporary too. Not waterproof, and not UV resistant.
Electrical tape is the money tape. I use that stuff for everything. And it comes in like 7 fun colors.

And sooo worth it for all your household nuclear duct taping needs.
