HBO is teaming with director Ridley Scott to make Pharaoh, a show about aliens hanging out in ancient Egypt, making pyramids, and presumably getting worshipped as animal-headed gods by the local populace.
Alan Billis, a 61-year-old taxi driver who suffered from lung cancer, lived a pretty ordinary life. He drove around, watched documentaries and did what everybody else did. His afterlife though, is going to be extraordinary. After he passed, Billis became the first person in 3000 years to get mummified.
The pharaohs ruled Egypt for over three thousand years, and the story of the very last pharaoh - you might know her as Cleopatra - is famous to this day. But what about the very first pharaohs?
