    @daxomni: I can just go pick up a $17 bottle of rum and hand it to my wife. Then not only do I get the aural sex, but the real sex AND I don't have to imagine that the wheezing whistling noise on the other end is the woman's dying sugar daddy instead of the sound of air passing through her gap toothed grim while she mixes meth in her trailer.

    Logitech x-540 6.1 sounds system hooked up to my mobo's audio out. Simple but gets the job done for my gaming/music/movie. Plus the system only costed $70

    Dave Gibson, a friend of mine before he passed away, owned his own record label ("Moxie Records" in Springfield, Oregon) had an amazing setup all based on vinyl like this. As nearly everyone here knows, you can definitely tell the difference between vinyl and CD's -- and I am not talking about the pops and scratches we all characterize vinyl with. However, modern music is about convenience not about quality, so there are very few Dave Gibson's remaining in this world since almost all of us just carry around MP3 players and hook it up to questionable receivers that are judged by whether they have an official iPod dock on them. While I expect more than a few joke pictures to be sent in, I guess I also expect very few audiophile photos like the one above, if any. That said - I hope Giz commenters surprise me.

    Can we have explanations/details with the gallery next time? I'm curious to know what these people do in their spaces/what they do with 6 monitors. I'm sure that people with setups as complex as this would love to talk about what went into their workspaces.

    @Xeno has nothing useful to contribute: No. It's a tower fan I found in a dumpster. I plugged it in, and it made a horrible squeaking noise. So I took it apart and oiled the gear and axle, and not a peep. My 2nd floor has ONE heating/cooling vent, so fans are important to move air between rooms.

    @CargoHoldNap_GitEmSteveDave: Hey we have that same fan. It has a remote too. I can understand why that person threw theirs out. The damn thing squeals like a son-of-a-b*tch. I lube the lower bearing at the bottom of the fan squirrel-cage periodically to silence it.

    OK, this one is a contest I am looking forward to seeing the results of. The last set of workspace pics showed some AMAZING set ups. (The winner of the messy desk contest the other day nearly caused me an OCD panic attack.)
