However, the ability to blast blocks cleanly from the tower does make the game more exciting.

This simple device uses rubber band action to snap a bolt through the pistol and into the block. When done correctly, the block should fly out of the tower cleanly. It may seem to make the game easier, but if you come in at a slight angle, or you place the gun too close to the tower, the structural failure could be catastrophic (plus, Jenga becomes dangerous all of a sudden). Still, this is how I would prefer to play the game—if you agree, complete instructions on how to build one yourself are available on the project page. [Jenga Pistol via Likecool]

<![CDATA[The Bazooka Light Is All ShhhhhhfeewwwwwwPKKOOOOWWWWWW]]> Is your little boy or girl afraid of the dark? Well those times are over, friend.

The Bazooka Light (along with the uzi, sniper rifle and pistol) is not some plastic novelty. It's an all-metal lamp—one that will feel like a real gun in your child's hands as he or she puts a stop to the Boogie Man's reign of terror once and for all.

Sadly, these lamps are limited edition and probably cost a premium price. But what's the smile of a child worth, their small face beaming in the aura of luminescent weaponry. [Twenty First Gallery via Nerd Approved]

<![CDATA[Palm Pistol: Grandma is Going On a Toodle Shootin' Rampage]]> Thanks to the Second Amendment, even the elderly have the right to keep and bear arms. The problem is that many of the guns out there are a bit unwieldy for an older person to handle. However, the inventors of the Palm Pistol are planning to change all that with a weapon that is ideal for both the elderly and the physically disabled. The firearm appears to be a redesign of the classic "Chicago Palm Pistol" first patented in the US in 1883—the difference being that the modern Palm Pistol is a single shot device with a thumb trigger. According to the product site, "point and shoot couldn't be easier"—so now we have to worry about protecting our toodles from pistol packin' Grandmas like the one featured after the break.

<![CDATA[Pistol Stilettos Can Really Hurt to Walk In ]]> Surely these pistol stilettos adorned by Madonna at her recent directorial debut can't be packing real guns. Then again, if we had to listen to that much pretentious bullshit coming from our own mouths at all times, we might need our personal escape plan at arm's reach, too. <![CDATA[Novint Falcon Controller with Gun Attachment Reviewed (Verdict: Awesome)]]> It has been almost a year since we first heard that Novint would add a pistol grip accessory to their 3D Haptic Joystick—but the update has yet to hit the market. Nonetheless, Wired got a chance to play a few FPS games with the add-on and were blown away by the level of feedback and control, saying that it completely changes the experience. Targeting was precise, and each gun used in the game takes on a different recoil intensity—which can sometimes be violent when dealing with high caliber weapons. There is also a steep learning curve with the haptic controls.

More and more games are adding support for haptic controllers, so gamers interested in the experience will have a lot of choices down the line. However, we are still waiting for the pistol grip add-on. Let's just hope that it makes it out of the gate by the end of the year. When it is finally released, the grip is expected to retail for $20. <![CDATA[Pneumatic Antenna Launcher is Not for Dribblers]]> Getting an antenna into prime position is often a little challenging. Well, not anymore; checkout this awesome antenna launcher mod. Powered like a regular air pistol, it depends on pressurized gas to generate force, which then enables it to shoot a light line over a tree.

In its past life, the antenna launcher was instead used to project tennis balls at annoying children / fluffy pets tennis players, but it can now be used to project an aerial up and over a tree, or a similarly lofty position, by wrapping the wire around the tennis ball and taking aim. Finally, you can now tune into your favorite Martian radio station with no fuss, just as long as your aim is a bit better than that guy who follows you around in life, using the urinal before you. <![CDATA[Pistol Cams May Keep an Eye on Trigger Happy Cops]]> Police in both Orange County, California and Newburgh, New York are on the brink of field testing the PistolCam —a 1.5-ounce camera fitted below the barrel of sidearms. As soon as an officer draws the weapon, the PistolCam begins recording both video and audio. Naturally, this technology could prove extremely useful for clarifying events during shootouts and "accidental" deaths at the hands of police. According to Newburgh officials, if the tests go well, all of their officers would be issued the device — although it remains to be seen how the officers themselves and the unions will respond. My guess is that they wouldn't want the cameras rolling when they shout "Dance!" whilst shooting at the feet of perps. [WREX via The Raw Feed]

<![CDATA[Actual Pics of the Halo 3 Covenant Guns]]> Bungie's just put out an update and given us real pictures of the Halo 3 Toys Covenant guns. The plasma rifle looks somewhat similar to the "real" thing (the gun in the game), but the plasma pistol looks really bleh. Real Covenant aliens wouldn't be caught dead with a turquoise gun. However, it will have a "super shot" mode that will register more damage to that sensor you wear on your chest. Looks like the old laser tag games we played as kids.

<![CDATA[Channel Changer Gun Vents Your Anger at This Season's Writing on 24]]> Shooting your TV is bad (haven't you seen that episode of The Simpsons?). Shooting it with a remote that's shaped like a gun is slightly better.

With this £9.99 ($19) remote, you can channel your hate for this season's lackluster writing on 24 by shooting the screen whenever someone says or does something ridiculous even by 24's standards. Best yet, pin the included sheriff's badge to your wife-beater and actually feel like Jack Bauer. Go on. You know you want to.
