Spin up the FTL and send the jump coordinates to the fleet.

@four12: I did not see any spinning parts. They must be off camera.

NASA should be pouring money behind this and funding a manned Mars mission stat. Good lord, 39 days to Mars? Sign me the hell up.

Can I get like, 4 or 5 of them so I can put them on my hands and feet and chest? Oh, and one of those little glowy things?

@Kaiser-Machead: Also, you'd need about 7500 of them to even hover.

I personally think they should call this the "Event Horizon" engine

@georgepap: Except the Event Horizon created a gravity well so that it can compress points A and B on its journey onto a single plane, thus making space travel instantaneous. Personally, the whole dimension of chaos side effect kind of puts a hamper on the whole affair. Liberate, tu ta me ex infernus.

@Kaiser-Machead: I wanted to like that movie so bad. I mean... I kinda' did... until the techno soundtrack at the beginning ruined it for me. Had they given it a proper score it could have been a timeless sci-fi classic. *sigh*
