    If I'm not on-line, can other people in Home, uh, 'do stuff' to my avatar?

    @Eauboy: You mean like draw crap on your avatar's face or put your avatar's hand in a cup of warm water?

    @swoyekr.: Oh.

    Eauboy, I have a question for you: If you signed onto Home and found your avatar horribly violated and abused, would you tell anyone?

    Sorry about the double but this just occurred to me:

    Three years of development and all they have to show for it is a long-delayed open beta.

    I hereby nominate PlayStation Home as FAIL of the Year based on Sony's attitude that having a static "Coming Soon" webpage up for 19 months and finally moving into the Open Beta stage after more than three years of broken promises is something worthy of celebration.

    For continuing the PlayStation 3's rich tradition of delays, I nominate PlayStation Home Beta for the FAILie.

    Does Sony want Home to become Second-Life-like, or is it just their version of Experience?

    @frigg: I think Sony is going for the Second Life experience.

    Crashes every weekend. Nothing to do but buy crap. Has about 40,000 people online at any given time. Loved only by Regina Lynn from Wired.

    Yay. Another firmware update for my PS3. Because I had so much fun spending 15 minutes last night waiting for the download and installation.
