    @alphanumeric1971: Flips don't have any optical zoom. For a low end ultra-compact HD camcorder, Wal-Mart (yeah, really)has about the best I can find. It's a Wal-Mart exclusive Sanyo Xacti. For $200 you can't go wrong. Check it out.

    @trailingedge: This thing no doubt takes far better pictures than my Canon Digital Elph, and while it may look a big fruitier than my metal point n' shoot, this is no toy.

    10x zoom is a selling point now? I've had an 18-200mm lens for years, and a 300mm fixed-length for even longer. Sorry Kodak, still no dice.
