It sucks, Casio has some great features but the camera quality just isn't there. It's like watching Sigma put a X3 Foveron sensor into a Polaroid. Why can't some of these manufacturers license their technologies better!
I have their last gen and it is the worst PnS I have ever had (always had Sony's before). My wife literally can't take a picture to save her life with it as it constantly puts out blurry images. I've never had a problem, but now (last month or so), even I can't take one without some blur and it really pisses me off. I don't want the best PnS, just one the wife can actually use as I hate taking pictures (I just find it annoying).
I have to double check, but I think it only had a 1 year warranty; something has to be wrong with it.
All i know is i have one of the recent sony P&S cameras, the DSC-w290, and I have been very disappointed by it. The level of noise and "noise smoothing" is unbelievable. It's got a stupid amount of megapixels, and I think they should increased sensor sensitivity and reduced the megapixel count. i don't need 4MB shitty pictures. I dont think I will ever buy a sony camera again
Take your profile picture in the mirror. You can see the lcd on the back of the camera in the mirror. If the mirror has a light above it, you also get a little lighting.
@jakemiles: You can also see the camera in the mirror. You'll note most headshots don't include the thing taking the picture in them.
I notice your avatar photo has no camera in it. Did you take that in a mirror? As for MY avatar, there's not many places to hide a camera, as you can plainly see, and also I would need a huge mirror. That and a third hand to hold the camera.
Wow, that's a lot of innovation for a P&S camera. Besides the obvious dual screen, it has Bluetooth, GPS, HDMI - and it's still small and relatively cheap. If the picture quality is near a Canon Powershot, I might have to try this one out.
@bosskev: The third comment, it's still on. Please, take off the third comment. The third comment, it's still running. Stop it, please, for God's sake, please stop it. There's no more time. Please stop it. Stop it now. Turn it off! Stop it! Stop it! Stop it! Stop it! STOP IT!
Now all it needs is built in "MySpaceVoodoo" mode to tell you how to shoot yourself to erase your "flaws". Little arrows to point how to elevate to eliminate two chins, etc...
@GitEmSteveDave'sAPeacefulMandalorian: Imagine a voice that called out "Tilt camera +60 degrees on Y axis, + 40 degrees on Z axis. Ensure window-glass black framed glasses are in place, pucker lips. Take picture."
@downbythetracks: I'm almost certain it's not - the "E" would need to be a "W" and it would need to be about twice that price. And look at that lens - not waterproof. Too bad, I was excited for a second.
only thing stopping me from breaking out the plastic is the mention of a timer mode or time lapse mode.. which is an extremely important feature for me in a p/s camera such as this.. I'd rather leave this out for a day or few hours and not my 5dm2.. Canons p/s with a hacked firmware to allow time lapse functionality might be a win over this one for that feature alone
1. How is that HDR mode not a gimmick? It certainly doesn't look anything like any HDR photos I've seen / made. It should be called something like enhanced mode. Using the name HDR has gimmick written all over it.
2. Acceptable ISO noise? Really? That to me looks appalling. Even ISO 400 shots aren't really usable at 100%
The price is pretty normal. I wouldn't call it a photographer's point and shoot though. For that, I'll stick with my Canon PowerShot G series, which is truly as feature packed as you can make a point and shoot.
I like it....I like it a lot, especially the macro function, which I'd use a great deal. I'm willing to completely forget the niggles about video capture, though it's something I currently use on my SD1000, including the time-lapse function (which is actually pretty sweet.)

Also lens is too slow and the high ISO shots are very noisy.
