Is everybody who comments these days incapable of following a link before typing something that's obviously addressed?
[nottagedesign.com] How does it work? The 'Vitrik™' surface is a patented transparent film on the glass. This gives resistance to rolling balls, just like cloth does. 'Vitrik™' is a patented technology.
Will it play like a normal table? Yes. The balls roll at a speed that is very similar to a normal cloth/slate table. The balls glide quietly on the playing surface. Vitrik™ is a film, and isn't made of small fibres like cloth, so the balls roll very smoothly.
@Zlevee: balls rolling != balls sliding, which is what happens when you use english. that they do not address the ability to apply english is a glaring omission into which one can read anything. i choose to read "we're not making this for real pool players. just for posers with too much $$."
@adhir: You may have a point on the English, though I'd say they imply that the physics are close.
Anyway, that doesn't excuse the countless commenters who didn't bother to read about the coating and are just saying "this won't play anything like a felt table".
@keronian: from what the currency conversion tells me, thats $25216.81 USD.
I was sold on the pool table till I saw that price. Sad thing is, that's only the cost to ship it to a Australian residence, one can only imagine the cost to ship it to America or anywhere else for that matter.

AUS RRP $39,900.00 - includes GST, accessory kit and shipping to Australian metropolitan areas (with standard ground floor access and installation).
(So, if you live outside of Australia, prepare to pay whatever it takes to ship something that large & fragile overseas on top of that)
