    ok. $227 for this thing. or, $120 for a spare new battery for the laptop that I get about 2 hours out of (3-4 if I shut down everything that touches the hard drive and run movies from a usb thumb drive).


    Hell, for $227 I could get a spare laptop full battery plus a "media bay" one (that replaces the never-used cdrom). That would give 3-4 hours of regular use on the original plus the media bay one, then I could swap in the spare regular one without shutting down and go another 2 hours or more.


    I think I know which choice I'd make.

    @AndrewJayPollack: Yes, that's what I said in the review. If all you're using this for is your laptop, it's worth it to get a spare battery.
