    i hate some bimmer steering wheels. i love m3s. and who was it that was trash talking AWD? that can be pretty friggin sweet if you know how to make it fun.

    I'm pretty sure they're called "Beamers". I've never heard it pronounced as "Bimmer".

    @tbone92: Though pronounced the same, the spelling "Bimmer" (in the US) actually refers to any BMW automobile, while "Beemer" refers to any BMW motorcycle.


    I had heard there was a difference in the two words, but was unsure.. So I looked "bimmer" up on wikipedia, and it redirected me to the BMW page. On that page, In section 6 titled "culture" it explains it all there.


    Not that it matters tho, as OfficerMike said, they are both widely accepted, and both convey BMW in general.
