In reply to Nintendo Conference Call Allegedly Confirms Sept. 27 Wii Price Cut
Is there anyone who doesn't think this is gonna happen? Look, the other consoles are dropping prices, Nintendo makes the big bucks on the accessories, it's already a cheap console. Come on. This is the least exciting console-price-related rumor of the season.

I don't care if it's bundled with a happy meal, Nintendo, WE WANT COLORS!

In reply to Palm Pre, Refurbished iPhone 3G Receive Modest Price Cuts
Unfortunately, this is false information. While though the Pre was priced for $100 for a little time today, it was a price mistake, and they are still the regular $200. I called my own BB to confirm this. I also read on Engadget that the BB CEO said it was a mistake.

In reply to HP Mini 1000 Gets Mini-Sized $40 Price Cut
Now I'm pissed; I received my Mini 1000 just about two weeks ago. In between ordering and shipping they started offering free 1GB RAM upgrades, and now they've dropped the price by 10%. I mean, sure I expect to pay a little EAT, but this is ridiculous. When I called HP about the RAM upgrade they basically said go stuff it. This is no way to treat your best customers. I've learned my lesson though - I'll never buy an HP product without waiting at least a few months after it's out.

@weatherman: Maybe you should tattoo HP's logo on your arm to show them you are the best costumer. They might give you a $12 RAM card then.

As a solution, go to newegg and grab some RAM for under $15 with free shipping.

@Toastie: It's a pain in the ass to upgrade the ram though. It's not impossible but it will take you the better part of an afternoon to do it.

@jopari: That's not really true. I already upgraded my RAM to 2GB and it took all of about 2 minutes.

Toastie: you're missing the point. I'm not mad about a $12 stick of RAM (which was a $25 upgrade btw) - I just took that savings and put it to a 2GB stick anyway. The point is that they've added freebies and lowered the price, without honoring any sort of price guarantee for customers who bought when it first came out. At this point it's still within the first 30 days so maybe I should just send mine back and order another one. That would teach 'em.
