<![CDATA[Where to Get Awesome Multi-Monitor Wallpaper]]> If you're reading Giz, you're likely running two displays, if not more. You could sprinkle each one with a disparate bit of geekery, or go all out with a massive multi-monitor spread.

Lifehacker has an awesome reader-fueled roundup of the best places to grab wallpaper specially designed to fit your glowing triptych (or wall) of unhealthy productivity. Mandolux snagged the top spot overwhelmingly, followed by InterfaceLIFT and that old-school favorite, DeviantART. There's more eye-exploding background heaven where that came from over at Lifehacker, which makes me kind of sad I only play on one monitor. If you've got your own tips, let us know about 'em, too. <![CDATA[WowWee Rovio Contest Winner]]> Congratulations to Neil Morris for coming up with the best productivity gadget out of the submitted entries and winning himself a brand new WowWee Rovio in the process. His concept, dubbed "Chonograhper" helps users keep track of time. They system consists of a wireless, touchscreen tablet that syncs with your calendar and can be updated via SMS or email.

The display would provide information on a specific task or announcement and alert you at the appropriate time. It could also be used for group projects by organizing tasks and keeping everyone on the same page. A lot of programs already provide many of these functions, but the fact that it could organize just about anything in such a simple, visual way gives it some advantages—especially in an office setting.

<![CDATA[Google Docs Get Offline Support, T Not Happy]]> Google is furthering the migration of pretty much everything to the cloud by offering offline Google Docs support, which will be powered by Google Gears. Effectively, the applications you use will have data stored locally until you get back in range of your Wi-Fi hotspot, where updating will then occur seamlessly. The functionality will start to roll out in the coming week, with some users being granted immediate access.

Everything will still function via your web browser, meaning you won't have to load up additional applications to take advantage of the offline / online goodness. Eager to share some of the limelight, Zoho has also begun to offer the very same feature. I've always preferred Zoho's online productivity suite, but the speed has frequently been an issue. I very much doubt the planned offline support will ease the problem.

Mr T isn't happy, because having to log on to use Google Docs is one of the last excuses he has to stay on the ground and outta the damn plane. T just hopes Hannibal doesn't find out about this. [Google Docs Blog]

<![CDATA[CarGoDesk: Productivity at the Cost of Safety]]> The CarGoDesk is a portable desk-like unit that is designed to strap into the passenger seat of a car. It basically turns that empty seat into a convenient desk for working—you know, while driving. Its surface is coated in rubber, so your laptop or work won't go flying after the first fender bender.

Okay, I'll stop hating for a bit and admit that this could be a good gadget for people that live out of their cars for work and such. The CarGoDesk could be pretty convenient as long as it isn't being used while the car is in operation. Production began earlier this summer, so expect productivity and auto accidents to increase ten-fold, shortly.
