And a horrible gameplay decision.

I knew the next PSP was going to be a fusion, but I thought for sure they would add something to the PSP that actually made it more interesting and expanded the opportunity for gaming/communication/websurfing. If this is really the next PSP and that's all there is, then this Go is already gotup and gone.

if they can get that right, that's a huge improvement

I had high hopes for the PSP, having been a long time fan of the platform. But I think Sony is blowing it again with this.

You have an extra "the" in your comment.

I would disagree with that. I got a PSP 1003 at the UK launch. It was so much fun. Then I hombrewed it and doubled the fun. The best portable gaming device still. I now am less gamer-y and have (until it got washed) and iPod touch. It is fun but you can't beat the old PSP for good gaming experience. It was the first good potable browser for the masses, the first hombrew for the masses also tried hard to be the first multimedia device (the iPod video stole its thunder). I truly believe that the PSP was one of the best devices of its time and it was definitely not a turd. This should breathe some life into the PSP. But with the iPod touch being touted as the future of handheld gaming I do feel that unless the PSP gets some killer use, games or becomes some ultra cool multimedia device this may be too little to late.

Anyone touting the iPod touch as the future of handheld gaming is a crazed, ignorant moron.
