Nolan Bushnell's First Commercially Sold Video Game Ever Is for Sale

Computer Space, generally considered the first commercially-sold video game ever, is pretty rare these days, with only about 1800 of the retro-futuristic arcade cabinets made. Yet two of them just popped up on eBay. More »

Uplift Floaty Mirror: It's Like a DeLorean in Your Bathroom

Swinging bathroom mirrors can bash your face in and spray blood everywhere, making the morning cleanup worse than just whiskers. The Uplift floats upward and has six powered outlets, plus a TV mount. [Robern]

Custom Street Fighter IV Cabinets Going for Cheap

I can't promise that these low prices will stay, but right now, there are a small handful of custom Street Fighter IV cabinets (filled with genuine SFIV boards) available on eBay, starting at $650. UPDATE More »

Horm Voltaceleste: A Fiber-Optical Star-Spangled Cabinet For Your Stuff

I loved the glowing Full Moon sideboard from the other month, but I wasn't able to convince my wife it'd make a good addition to our home. I reckon I'd have more of a chance with Horm Voltaceleste, from designer Salvatore Indriolo as it's a touch more subtle but just as astronomical. The doors are decorated with embedded fiber-optics in the patterns of constellations, and there's interior lighting too. It's chipboard and poplar veneer, so though there's no info on price I reckon it wouldn't be a wallet-smasher. [Born Rich] More »

    Blu-ray Coffee Table, Pac-Man Tabletop For Grown-ups

When tabletop arcade manufacturer Retro-Tech makes a coffee table, it's gotta do more than hold books on Famous Chateaus of the 18th Century and What Things Look Like From the Sky. It has to hold that stuff and piss off your home theater. More »

    Wiimote Cabinet: I Want One

A Go Nintendo reader by the name of Craig has one hell of a dad. After all, it takes a great dad to build a sweet looking Wiimote cabinet like this. I'm no carpenter but it doesn't look all that difficult to make from a design perspective. You could probably find something similar in your local furniture store. However, the detail work on the front is done quite well. I would love to have one of these in my apartment. It probably won't be all that popular with the ladies, but then again nerdy stuff never is. So who really gives a damn. [Go Nintendo]

Sweep-Away Cabinet Vac Makes Dustpans Obsolete

Why use dustpans when you can use this Sweep-Away Cabinet Vac, a genius invention that we didn't even know we needed until we saw it. Instead of sweeping dust and gunk into a pan that you have to pick up and throw away, you sweep it into the vacuum hole on the bottom of your cabinet. The vac sucks up the cat hair and feces like a standard vacuum. All you have to do is empty the vacuum later and you're done. The only problem is that it's $299, and if you want additional accessories like a 30-fit hose, it's $499. Plus, unlike a dustpan, this only works in one room. [Galaxie Vac via Core77 - Video] More »
