American Nintendo DSi Dons a Pretty Pink Dress, Tasteful White Slip
Nintendo of America's just started shipping the DSi in two new colors, adding to the preexisting blue and black units: White, for a subtle, decidedly ungadgety look, and pink forthe lay-deezdudes who carry garishly colored gadgets ironically. [Nintendo] -

Naked Ladies Slipping on Banana Peels on the DS
We've seen a Disney artist draw some technically proficient images on the iPhone, but for some reason—maybe it's the hardware, maybe it's the content—we just weren't as captivated. More » -

HTC Touch Diamond Pops Up in Seven Colors
We were surprised to see the HTC Diamond just coming in white, but those in France now have the opportunity to pick up the Diamond in one of seven colors: White, blue, brown, fuchsia, yellow, purple or rose. Unless you're packing up to move abroad, chances are you'll never see most, if any of these Skittlesfied options. But we thought we'd show you just to rub it in. Happy Monday! New Zune Colors Revealed in 3.0 Software
While digging through the new Zune 3.0 software, a Zuneboards forum member discovered several new colors on 120GB and 16GB Zunes for those who want to branch out from basic black. From the looks of things a blue, white and red version are in the mix—available in different color configurations that could include a black or silver backing. Obviously, none of this has been confirmed yet—but hopefully there will be more to come. [zuneboards] -

Garmin Has Style Lapse: Releases Faux-Diamond Enhanced Nuvi GPSs
Garmin's had a tiny stylistic brain-fart with some new Nuvi GPSs. Imagine a cheesy glimmering gadget suckered-on to your windshield, sending glittering—and distracting—shafts of light into your car... that's kind of what you've got in the "light rose" and "black diamond" editions of the Nuvi 250 and 760. They're covered in colored faux-diamonds. Yuck. The red, white and blue editions (also new) we can appreciate. But in a few years, in a look back at recent gadget history, crystal-covered GPS units will be consigned to the "what the hell were they thinking?" category. [Aving via Navigadget] -

Sony Has Upgrade Frenzy: Tweaks many Vaio PCs, Including A-Series Mega Laptop
We brought you a three new Vaios last week, but Sony Japan seems to be in the mood to tweak much of the rest of its Vaio line of laptops and desktops. There are new machines in the A-series, C-series, L-series and R-series. The RT50 is aimed at professional users, labeled "photo edition," with an anti-glare screen and a screen shield. CS60B is a 14.1-inch laptop in numerous colors and 802.11n Wi-Fi, and the LJ53B is one of Sony's stylish desktop all-in-one media-players. But the AW70 and AW50 are the most interesting: monster, 18.4-inch powerful laptops with Blu-ray burners and HDMI-out, designed as desktop replacements. More » -

RGBy Lamp is LED Color-Changing Toy for Color Scheme Fanatics
We showed you the impressive RGBy tabletop last year, but designers Makoto Hirahara and Shinya Matsuyama have gone and commercialized a new chameleon color-change lamp. The RBGy lamp is a simple battery-powered gizmo that changes color to match whatever object you've got it sitting on. You simply press to capture, and it copies the color by varying its LED illumination. It's hard to think of a purpose for it, other than impressing your date by matching the moodlighting to her dress... but there are cheaper ways to impress, given that each 2.75-inch steel and plastic lamp costs $199. Sweety is Color-Changing, Squeezable Interactive Stress Gizmo
Designer Haishu Zhang has created the Sweety concept gadget to help soothe away people's stresses. Apparently he's designed to be your 24-hour listener, so I guess you just sound-off in his direction rather than at a real person. And Sweety reacts with graphic patterns and color changes that, um, help you somehow. I'm a little confused how that bit's supposed to work, but I do understand it's interactive mode: when the rage hits you, you can just wrestle and pound the little bugger's soft body. And that's therapy. [Yanko design] -

Creative Zen Getting Bubblegum Pink Makeover
Looks like the Zune isn't the only PMP to be getting a color makeover, Creative's Zen is in on it too. The new model was spotted at Wal Mart, where it is retailing at $69.99 for a 2GB unit, with no other capacities listed. As far as we can tell, the pink Zen is ready for immediate shipping, despite the fact it is not available at Creative's own online store. The new addition has me thinking it is time for a pink gadget in my arsenal; admit it, you want one as well. [Wal Mart via Geek&Hype; Thanks, pickupjojo!]
