    @MacWilson: Well, seeing as how he was built "A long time ago, in a galaxy far far away" and Star Trek takes place far in our future. I'd say that good old R2 has had a very very very long life since he delivered that message so many millennium ago. #r2d2

    @tande04: I agree. I watched Star Trek. I watched Star Wars. I don't see any reason for this to be a big deal except to those that decided that they only had room in their geek-fanatical-fantasy for one sci-fi space story. That doesn't describe me. There is plenty of room in mine for both and then some (Star Gate, Babylon 5, Highlander, and many many others.)

    Then again, my favorite football team is anyone that beats the Cowboys 'cause it annoys my best friend who is a huge Cowboys fan. #r2d2

    @bustedchain: I have actually never met a SW fan that honestly despises ST. There are a lot that put on the feud face but when it comes down to it we're all just geeks. We like shiny ships, splody things, and far off worlds.

    ILM's people aren't that different. They're geeks and sci-fi fans. They just happen to be geeks and sci-fi fans that have access to the CG models and can throw them in where they like. #r2d2
