My gf and I were in a bad four car crash many years ago. Our car absorbed most of the force of the impact with enough damage to the front and rear that it was totalled. The rear bumper was driven so far into the car that one of the mounts for it was only inches from piercing the gas tank (which was now visible between the gap of the tire and wheel well). We were both sore for days afterwards with bruising where the seatbelts crossed our shoulders.
