- Get a proper mouse for you hand size. One that naturally will have the palm/wrist are touching the desk without making you force you hand upwards over the mouse to reach the buttons.
- Get your chair higher.
- Get your armrest to be just slightly higher that your mouse surface (table, desk, etc...)
- Use a foot rest (if needed) to properly level your legs with your new chair height.
Many people mistakely use a wrist support for the mouse, but fail to realize that their elbow is lower than their hand and rub the edge of the desk with their wrist or forearm.
I do 3D CAD/Design 8 hrs a day. My hand holds the mouse at least a good 6 ~ 7 hrs straight non-stop. I've done it for the last 14+ years.
You could say we are primadonnas when it comes to the hardware... but it's absolutely necessary.
No Carpal Tunnel yet....
