    @Dave VerLee: Less, way less.

    Those big ol' rear projection sets are pretty damn light, they're awkward as hell but they're magnitudes lighter than an equivalent sized flat panel.

    My wife and I were seated at a booth recently where there was a motorcycle suspended above us with some cable wire.

    We were comforted by the fact that some other patrons didn't appear to be concerned about the car that was suspended above them.

    Quaker Steak, Concord, NC (I think).

    Ok so I get that the caution tape is there so you don't smack your head on the bottom of the thing while getting up. Wouldn't it just be easier to not have anyone sit at that booth in the first place?

    you guys are missing the point. some restaurants are known for having massive meals that you get for free if you can eat it all. this place is known for having a massive TV where your meal is free if you sit underneath and it kills you. everybody knows the risks involved and that is why they say there is no such thing as a free lunch. also, it is attached to the ceiling with double sided tape on the top of the TV. dollar store tape.

    @Nick: In case of loss of cabin pressure, giant rear-projection televisions will automatically deploy from the overhead compartment. The screen may not activate, but be assured that signal is flowing into the TV. Please assure that your own television has crushed you before assisting others.
