Unless someone's playing an awesome joke.

These might be those thinner, Blu-ray powered iMacs we heard about last week. The other part of the rumor says that the machines might have an LED display, a unibody build or something about audio. [Apple Insider]

<![CDATA[Apple Warns Resellers of Reduced iMac Availability: New Models On the Way?]]> AppleInsider reports that Apple has begun warning resellers that new orders for the high-end 24-inch iMac may not be filled due to decreasing supplies. Let's look at what we know about a possible iMac refresh.

We'd heard rumblings before, but if true, this warning is a pretty clear indication of a refresh. The current iMac line, released in late April 2008, probably isn't due for any kind of massive redesign. The most obvious reason is that it just isn't very old, especially compared to its nearly-senile relative, the Mac Mini. There also haven't been many rumors floating around about new iMacs, but it does look likely that the desktops will get a bump from dual- to quad-core procs in time for the release of Snow Leopard.

This is based on anonymous sources, of course, and without confirmation from Apple (which we won't get), this stays classified as a rumor. But it might be a reason to hold off on a new iMac purchase, at least for a little while. [AppleInsider]

We will have to wait for the MacBook 2008 event this week to see if it is real or not, but they are crystal clear and in line with both series of previous leaked images. [MacX via BGR]

<![CDATA[Updated iMacs Coming Next Week?]]> Geeksugar's got an interesting scoop on a supposed iMac refresh coming next week. Their guess is a speed bump and a storage increase, but the design will be exactly the same and will be priced the same as before. If you're curious whether or not their source is accurate, it's the same person that tipped them off to a MacBook and MacBook Pro refresh right before that actually happened. The tip was off by a slight detail (multitouch trackpad), but otherwise it was pretty legit. Unless you've got some stolen cash that you're dying to change into a computer today, we'd recommend waiting just to be safe. [Geeksugar]

<![CDATA[Meizu MiniOne UI Updated]]> Meizu's CEO, Jack Wong has just posted a whole bunch of new images, all showing a tweaked UI for the hotly anticipated iPhone-esque cellphone. It is not a massive rework of what we have already been shown, but the pictures showing a new color scheme and number pad should keep the fanboys happy, even if the iPhone reference has incensed them with rage. On a side note, Meizu's MiniOne is a bit iPhoneish, no? Jump for a ton of visual eye candy. [Meizu Forum; Thanks, Alvin]

<![CDATA[PSP Hardware Refresh Coming Later '07, Says Sony]]> If you were thinking of buying a PSP at its new low price of $169, you may want to wait a little. At Sony's San Diego gamer's day, the company let fly some announcements about the handheld that says they're going to do a "hardware refresh" later this year.

Whether it's just a bigger hard drive, brighter screen, or something else entirely is still unknown. But if you're not in a huge hurry to go PSP, you might as well wait. Solid Snake has the patience of a fox. Or a snake. Or a foxy snake.
