Why the hell didn't Sony do this before?

It also has a new feature called Media Go that'll automatically pull media off your PC over Wi-Fi whenever you plop it in the charging stand—obviously it requires a client on your PC, but whatever.

Oh yeah, it's a 3G GSM phone too. It's got a 3-inch screen, 8-megapixel camera with geo-tagging, light photo editing and video recording, built-in Facebook, YouTube, and Google apps like Search and Maps. It'll be out at the end of the year, likely for an ungodly sum given all the features packed into it. [Sony Ericsson]

<![CDATA[PSP Firmware 3.95 Imminent]]> Sony has announced their firmware 3.95 update should be coming soon. It's a minor upgrade, only adding two small features to the platform...but one that I find completely necessary and long overdue. First, shutting off Remote Play will now no longer necessarily shut down your PS3. Second, and more importantly, PSOne classics can now be played with customizable button layouts. Retro ports on all platforms are notorious for wonky button mapping with little or no way to tweak. Good call, Sony. [kotaku]

<![CDATA[All PS1 Titles Now Playable on The PSP via Remote Play]]> It appears that todays new PSP and PS3 firmware updates include a "secret" Remote Play enhancement that allows users to play all PS1 downloadable titles and discs on the PSP. If you ask me, it is about time that Sony got in on all of the firmware hacking that has been going on. [Playstation Forums]

<![CDATA[Sony Europe Releases PlayTV PVR for PlayStation 3]]> Just as we reported before, Sony's just announced a personal video recorder (PVR) add-on system for the PlayStation 3 in European/PAL territories. Starting early 2008, the dual HDTV DVB-T tuner setup and the PVR will be available in the UK, France, Italy, Germany and Spain, and you will have the ability to store shows on your PS3, watch them via Remote Play on your PSP, and auto-choose between HD and SD depending on your hookup. No US launch is planned as of yet, but we'll update if there's more info. [SCEE - Image via Joystiq]
