    Umm, I'm gunna get howled at for this but none of those expensive gimmicks work. Believe it or not, to recork the wine bottle then shove it in the fridge for a max of a few days preserves the best flavour. No doubt those purists would scream sacrilege, and I wouldn't dare do it with a $100 bottle of wine, but this was approved by a panel of tasters (aka wine swishing snobs).

    I don't know why they just sell these to the wine crowd. These wine preservation systems are super useful for keeping un-house-trained puppies and errant adult dogs from pooping inside.

    If you drink a lot of wine, chances are you'd never have the opportunity to use this anyway.
