I knew that it wasn't going to be huge, but when you said "running around in downtown Tokyo" before the jump part of me was really hoping for some serious Kaiju action.
@Chiper: Why huge loops? I'm guessing those are fairly stiff cables moving in a "plunging" action, not unlike an old-fashioned camera remote release cable.
@Chiper: They are the cables that actuate the robots legs, and just like the cable that actuates a bicycle brake, if they are crimped they will bind in the sheathing.
The large loops allow the cables to move freely in the sheathing.
