Thanks! I just read it will be availing September 2009. Also, it needs 1GB of Ram minimum. I know Vista broke the RAM barrier but this seems a little much?
Ok, I have one question.I have original install CD for Leopard. My girlfriend has a macbook but lost her cd. Can I install new MacOS to her macbook without any troubles? Thanks for answer.
legally...No. If they're the same model MacBook (revision-wise, not just "white or black" but model #) you could, but for example if her's was a mid 2006 with tiger and you have a late 2007 with leopard, her computer will not boot to the OS disc. Of course, with a retail-purchased version of 10.5 DVD, you could do whatever you wish with whatever you wish (with certain limitations, of course)
On a different note, I think it's hilarious that there are advertisements for the Pre on Giz. Don't they get plenty of exposure on this site already? Is this site really the best place to invest money for advertising when there are two articles at the top of the site which are much more effective at persuading a person to buy a Pre?
This isn't a slam at Giz, because their articles are fair-minded. But I'm pretty sure most Giz readers already know what the Pre is all about. Furthermore, the Pre reviews/articles on this site are positive, and probably serve as better "advertisements" than anything else Sprint/Palm is paying for.
@Kaiser-Machead: Yeah, I was just questioning why Palm/Sprint chose Giz as a site on which to advertise. I never meant to insinuate that Giz was wrong to take their money. Money is good. Or at least it was the last time I checked.
@ACDlite: They're advertising heavily everywhere to keep the hype momentum for the Pre and Now Network going.
That said, I gotta say that the Now Network site is a big messy pile of code encrusted feces. I don't know who approved that nonsense, but it's just terrible.
The aluminum orb hummed as it levitated in its fixed position above the stage. The bloggers and Twits typed furiously, digging deep within their Google-borne lexicons to properly describe this phenomenon.
The seemingly solid, single shape began to open. From the metallic orifice of the orb, an aluminum belt extended to the stage, beside the dumbfounded Phil Schiller.
"Come to me. Do not be afraid" a voice said from within the sphere.
Schiller reluctantly stood on the aluminum plank, at which point he began to move, despite there being no moving parts to speak of within the conveyor.
Schiller disappeared into the sphere, and silence fell over the developers and blogging Macolites.
Then they saw them.
Schiller sat upon the shoulders of a tall, slender figure. A perpetual 5 o'clock shadow textured the lower half of his deeply sculpted face. His flowing black turtleneck joined into the unnaturally tidy border of his jeans. His running shoes were white to the point where they emitted their own light. The tapping of the bloggers ceased. The flash photography stopped. The world stood in a silent awe, and witnessed the return of their God.
@Kaiser-Machead: Haha, very nice. The whole passage is very Orwellien in tone. It reminds me of the last lines in 1984: "But it was all right, everything was all right, the struggle was finished. He had won the victory over himself. He loved Big Brother." Which is ironic I guess, considering Apple's famous 1984 Super Bowl ad.
i think this roundup was mediocre, at best. it beared no resemblance to a circle and or anything round. instead it was a list. and to add, the list went down and not up.
granted, the content of said list was excellent -- i was greatly disappointed by the lack of round.
IMO owner of both PS3 and XBOX360. Microsoft really knocked it out the park. I use to make excuses why the PS3 had a reason to be in the living room (Blu Ray and Metal Gear) but Microsoft really hit it out of the park with this E3. Sony better have something like the PS3 can play Xbox games in order to capture my attention.
I too own an Xbox360 and love it, but to say "E3 hasn't even officially started yet, and we're guessing Microsoft's already blown it out"... That's as biased as it gets.
E3 is about the games. Facebook and Twitter? I couldn't care less. Downloadable digital retail games? Eh... I'd rather to buy the actual game with a disk and cover if I'm not going to be saving any money by downloading.
Project Natal sounds hot! But let's see some real implementation first. Sony's motion-sensor/eyetoy anyone? We all know how that ended up.
The only real "win" Xbox360 had at their conference was the Metal Gear game. Forza 3 was expected. Alan Wake... we'll see.
Again, E3 is all about the games. Sony just have to announce an exclusive Metal Gear Solid and a price drop and the tides (at E3) will change.
@Linh Nguyen: I dunno if its bias. I think they're using hyperbole to describe the magnitude of MSFT's annoucement, cuz they had some serious stuff to release.
Not since the Wii demo has there be a pretty good E3 press show.

When Microsoft wants to take over a market segment, they dont mess around.
Hopefully Ninty and Sony fight back with some good stuff.
