Author Jeff Wilson gives it 3.5 out of 5 stars, and promises if you like small cellphones with tons of multimedia options, the M610 will do the job. I agree with this point. But some of the review is just nit picky. For instance...

yes, the microSD slot is located underneath the battery, but how many times do you actually remove the microSD card? If it's more than once in a while, you might do well to buy a real camera. Laptop also claims that the M610 isn't as full-featured as the LG Fusic, but I'll be damned if my friends didn't mark out at all the things it can do. This is relevant because my friends are in the age group that LG/Sprint is marketing the cellphone: young 20-somethings with lemonade stand money to spend.

The Sprint Power Vision Network is really quite hip and trendy, according to my dopey friends. Never underestimate the power to download ThisWeeksHitSingle to a cellphone. (Granted, for $2.50 a pop, but it's all free with the review unit.)

Overall, the review definitely points out the cellphone's strengths (thinner than the RAZR, tons of multimedia nonsense to play around with, really nice "feel" to it, etc.) while throwing in a few rounds of "well it should do this." Whatever. It's a better-than-decent cellphone and is a lot better than the LG Chocolate, my usual day-to-day cellphone and a definite competitor in the "look how cool my phone looks" department.

<![CDATA[Samsung m610 Cellphone Unwrapped: Thin Like Kate Moss]]> 303180588_32799cca0a_o.jpgTwo new cellphones in as many days for me to play with? What have I done to deserve this good fortune? Today it's the Samsung m610 for Sprint. (Yesterday was the Samsung m900.) Well, considering I just took the cellphone out of its box, doing a full review wouldn't be responsible; it would be irresponsible. What I do have, however, is a whole bunch of glory shots. Quickly, I will say that the m610 is damn thin, like Trace-thin, folks. If you're familiar with Sprint's Power Vision Network, you know that there's a whole lot of content on there. The quality of said content is debatable (Do you need live Weather Channel, or will just getting the quit forecast via text be sufficient?), but it's all a nice bonus. Expect a full review of this upcoming cellphone shortly.

<![CDATA[Samsung M610 Pics Surface: Thin Enough to be Prom Queen]]> Pics have surfaced of the Samsung M610 handset, along with a precious few details. It's a slimmed-down replacement of Samsung's A900 clamshell, and thin it is—at just 12mm deep it's still able to pack lots of techno inside.

Looks like it's stoked for tunes with a pair of stereo speakers, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile), a slot for a microSD flash memory card, and it even gets to keep Samsung's user interface instead of its predecessor's lame Sprint UI. Samsung's also added a OLED external display.

This looks like a worthy candidate to fight the battle against the Razr juggernaut, fighting over who will be Prom Queen of the thinness derby. But look out everybody—here comes Apple. No pricing or availability info was forthcoming yet.
