Microsoft Allegedly Knew Xbox 360 Was Scratching Discs |

This is exactly WHY people need to have legal options; because companies, Microsoft, Apple, Tyco, and every other profit driven company to ever exist will ignore problems, sometimes serious ones, for the sake of profits.
That being said, my machine has never had any problems.
And, as several have stated before me, what reason would anyone really have to move it around while it's in use?
The only thing that would make sense is if my cat jumped on it and knocked it over or, somehow, on the floor.

I have a launch system and an Elite. They're both rocking hard still.

The thing is one of the most horribly designed consumer products ever foisted on the public.
Yes, it works, and does what it's supposed to do, but with no regard for reliability or quality. If it wasn't for the quality games, it'd have been relegated to the junk yard in the first few months.

It's so horribly designed that all 22 million consoles are broken. Obvious troll is obvious.

How is it even possible for you to try to pull that BS? The thing is obviously terribly designed. The failure rate is well documented, they had to extend the warranty 3 years thanks to a class action suit.
I'm not trolling, MS made its own bed. Maybe I'm just pissed because I'm on my 4th Xbox in 2 years.

Blind fanboyism eh? I own ALL 3 of the current-gen consoles. Try again.

But then again, I've had a CD-ROM drive eat a disc simply by ejecting it. The disc was apparently still spinning when the drive kicked it out, and it promptly destroyed the media.

You don't want it to scratch you disks then turn off parental control. Don't want your Xbox to over heat then go into system options and turn off "Space Heater Mode."
And maybe stop wrapping your Xbox in carpet and setting it next to your roaring fireplace. Of course, I didn't figure this out until it was too late... Now I have the RRoD, and it's all my fault. The instructions SPECIFICALLY say, DO NOT play a game while the Xbox is in "on" mode.
