PBS had a commercial years ago where birds on wires inspired a musician. This is a rip off I say!

Major fail. If birds were really composing, they'd show a bass or treble cliff and the timing like 4/4 or 3/4 and tell us the beats per minute. Until then, it's just noise.

Wonderfully cute idea, though, it's no phenomenon, there's no space for the birds to be a low F, A, C, or high E, and sharps and flats aren't existent either. So basically, only 1st 3rds 5ths and 7ths of a major scale, which inherently is going to be pretty.

This would be good if you're at an opera and you have a libretto or score for an orchestra. Otherwise, pretty much useless, as others have noted.

Probably not the best sheet music reader out there, but an excellent feature for the Kindle to have.

So you're saying that those wall-to-wall law textbook bookcases can be replaced by one handheld Kindle...what are lawyers going to do with all that empty space?

As a musician, this is GREAT!!!

Sheet music is increasingly hard to get.

If the library is legitimate, this would get me running, not walking, to the nearest amazon bodega, buy me a bigass kindle, and never say another bad thing about it.

My instrumental talents are so bad, whether learned from Kindle or paper, any song I'd play would still sound like sheet music.

I think the ideal way to do this would be if the Kindle had a microphone and could tell when you reached the end of the page, then turning it. Which would basically make it a different device.

    Hmm...

    *runs off to build it*

As long as you're building it, you might want to look at MAX (http://www.cycling74.com/products/max5) which can listen and respond to music in real time.
