And a high heel shoe at that. Designed by London architect Julian Hakes, the Mojito shoe is made of carbon fiber—to give it strength and spring—and laminated with rubber on the bottom and leather—from furniture manufacturers in High Wycombe, England—on top. According to Hakes:

With a high heel providing the heel is supported, even by standing on a wooden block the foot naturally 'spans' the gap naturally, with bones and tendons.

Maybe. I guess. Who knows. I need to see this because I have to admit that I'm quite amazed by it—and so was Joanna when she saw it. It will probably cost a gajillion dollars, and will make this curve go completely vertical:

<![CDATA[World's Largest Lite Brite Has Over 300,000 Pegs, Is Real Effing Brite]]> Shoe-maker ASICS commissioned a gigantic Lite Brite in NYC in celebration of something or other (probably a shoe launch) this month that takes the Guinness World Record for largest Lite Brite painting. You know, those things you played with when you were six? At 300,000+ pieces and 11x15 feet, it demolishes the previous record of 125,000+ pieces by PA artist Mark Beekman that took him over 15 months to complete. Mark's was a recreation of The Last Supper, which while classy, just doesn't quite have the same je ne sais quoi as a ginormous shoe advertisement. Sorry about that year and a half of your life, Mark. [Freshness Mag]

<![CDATA[Shoe Chandelier Marks Your Suburban Gang Territory]]> Sneakers hanging from telephone lines has long been an iconic image of urban life—which is why it inspired designers Peter Pracilio and Oscar Lopez to develop this Shoe Chandelier. Why they chose to make a light out of it is unclear, but it has a very compelling weirdness about it. The good news is that all signs point to this design becoming a real-world product (in both chandelier and tabletop versions) sometime in the near future. Additional pic after the break.

<![CDATA[Stripper Shoe Phone For Little Girls]]> The YOUnivers Funk Fone only costs $19.99, which much less than little Cyndi can make when she's all growns up and stripping at Scores. Get'em when they're young, and let them lead the way. We think that's how the song goes.
