This week, LG is showing off a prototype that's conceivably TV-sized at (an admittedly still small) 15 inches. Running a resolution of 2048 x 1536 and offering a four-color sub-pixel arrangement (red, blue, green and white), we could only imagine the implications of a tablet PC that could otherwise be a normal laptop (without an awkward Exorcist maneuver) or a TV that could accommodate Gears of War 2 and Grey's Anatomy at the same time. Of course, even if the product were released, you know they'd just charge double for the privilege. [Tech-On]

<![CDATA[Samsung Announcing 82-inch Ultra-Definition LCD With Multi-Touch]]> We may have a new dream TV. Samsung is set to unveil an 82-inch LCD with ultra-definition resolution (3,840 by 2,160) that refreshes at 120Hz sometime this week. But equally as exciting, the display will also come in a multi-touch flavor for education purposes. That version will run at just 60Hz. Unfortunately, we have no images of either display. But what justice could a 500x300 representation do an 82-inch, 3,840x2,160 display anyway? So here's a puppy instead. [infoSync][image]

<![CDATA[Samsung's Display Division Shows Just What it Can Do With AMOLED Notebook]]> Samsung SDI, the Korean manufacturer's display arm, has been showing off a 12.1-inch laptop with an AMOLED display. With 1280 x 768 resolution, and a weird-ass keyboard, the prototype is being displayed at SID 2008. And what's going on with on the backside of the screen? I can't for the life of me figure it out.
