Might even make it worth buying a current mobo when they get cheaper in the near future. Unless AMD releases some compelling new chipset at the same time (naaaah....)

@mantuswsh: Thanks for the info. My board isn't failing, but I'm just about in need of an upgrade soon and was thinking C2Q. I think I'll wait until USB3.0 comes out to make my choice.

Very smart move on AMDs part to keep it on the AM2+/AM3 socket. I think the slightly lower clockspeed can be fixed with a bit of overclocking fairly easily.
