It would make a lot of sense for some other company to get into the "mobile me" game, if for no other reason than Apple's product is both poorly executed and overpriced, and that it really only seems designed for Mac users.
I've been hoping that Google would do it, and make some really nice tools to sync data between mobile devices, but they just don't seem to have tied it all together yet. It would also be good if hosting services offered something like this for domain owners - I know that I'd rather pay GoDaddy for a suite of email/contact/calendar/photo/etc sync tools that I could control through my own domain than paying Apple for a .me account. I don't know - maybe these products already exist and I just haven't seen them.
