    This is absolute crap! I am in Canada, and I can download it to my hacked American 1st gen iPhone. But when I open it, it crashes immediately.


    Is this due to it knowing my wifi is a Canadian IP?

    (Apparently Skype for iPhone is available in all countries except Canada due to a copyright)


    Help?

    @Drew Cuddy: sure ... why put an error message when you can just crash the app instead? i believe that was actually what apple was doing with safari for awhile.

    @Paradise: Yeah, it appears to crash jailbroken phones, which is pretty disappointing... and confusing as well.

    @behavin: you j-break your phone, you have to live with the consequences. Don't come a-complainin' cuz you hacked your phone and now it doesn't work like one from the factory. That's why they call it hacking.

    @weatherman: Come on, jailbreaking is not the problem, me and my wife have jailbroken Iphones (2G and 3G) and it doesn't crash at all..

    @Entaum: I'm not against jailbreaking phones. Heck, I've done it myself. I'm just saying that everyone seems to be complaining that Skype doesn't work on their phone because they j'breaked it, and they should be neither surprised nor upset at that.
