    Even short people can reach a door knob, and this would TRIPLE the cost of security for every door in keys or sensors for alarm systems. Cute but not practical.

    @Curves: Even though they can reach the doorknob having a door scaled to smaller sizes can allow a short person to feel like they're making a 'big' entrance.

    Or are you trying to say that you can only pass through a door in the one direction it swings open? In which case, I ask you, how long have you been hopelessly stuck in some room you apparently entered decades ago?

    @2001gsr: Look at the edges of the door. It has a slightly recessed area that wouldn't allow it to swing the other way.


    But ALL residential doors swing only one way. You would need a non-standard hinge to open it both ways...

    @Islam Moe: I had a pet door for my cat (not one with those cool sensors) and I came home one day to find some strange orange cat sleeping in my rocking chair. I asked him who the hell he was, and he looked at me like "Who the hell are YOU". Apparently my kitty was bringing her little friends home. I threw him out the door, nailed the kitty door shut and listened to them cry to each other for days.
