    So assuming you're the kid who gets one of these next Christmas. Do you grow up more damaged because (a) your dad actually thought it was cool that you sleep in a bag of simulated tauntaun intestines, or (b) yeah... your dad was that much of a Star Wars fan?

    Why the hell isn't the inside a nice satin sheen and why isn't it quilted with the innards stuffed slightly to ripple down the inside?! Why isn't its leg stuffed so I can spoon it on a hot summer night?!

    That is all kinds of awesome. Empire was the first of the series that I remember seeing in the theater, and that scene in particular really grabbed me. If I could travel back in time and give Young Me any gift from the present, it would be this sleeping bag. Well, this sleeping bag and a list of stocks to invest in, anyway. And then Young Me would cuddle up in the guts of a Tauntaun dreaming of the future knowing that I would be rich, but perhaps never happier.

    @weatherman: Star Wars, American flags and football posters displayed from bedroom windows, brown corduroy pants pulled up a bit too far, fathers cursing without hesitation, mothers driving boat sized cars with wings, Rugby, and a bit later, the Goonies. Ah, memory lane.
