    OK this is ridiculous. If they can do this, then they can have Parking meters that detect exactly what car is in the stall, and then send a bill for the EXACT amount of time you were in the stall. Yes?


    So everyone gets an ezpass for parking. You get a monthly bill. Done.

    @zigziggityzoo: Detecting the presence of your car, and identifying it uniquely are not the same. This uses the same tech that traffic lights do to detect how much traffic is waiting. Big cost difference between that system and having the traffic light determine exactly what cars are waiting for it, and determining when to change based on your street address.
