@Kris Aubuchon: If you bought a computer with a GMA950, then you either just don't require the power from a dedicated card, or you were too cheap to spring for something that had better.

I bought the first gen black macbook knowing full well that I wasn't going to get a graphics powerhouse, and yet the computer works well to this day despite having such an old (shitty) chipset. It provides adequate low end graphics for the most part.

@cae758: same here, its probably for the best... since most likely if it did run it would really sluggish or something despite leopard running great on my PB G4 1.33ghz 12".... idk

@SegamanXero: According to [mactracker.dreamhosters.com] , my Titanium PowerBook G4 1.0GHz is obsolete, so I certainly wasn't expecting Apple to have me in mind, but I do feel bad for users with last gen PPCs, because they are still supported (hardware-wise at least), i.e. G5 iMacs and PowerMacs, as well as those last PPC PowerBooks, like the 1.67GHz models. They're only around 3 years old. Leopard was released Oct. '07 and still supported my specs. I bought mine Feb. '03, but the model I own was released Nov. '02. That's almost 5 years. For those last PPC guys, I can understand their being pissed off or feeling shortchanged.

@cae758: In all fairness, there's not much Apple can do to optimize performance out of PPC Macs without keeping a lot of legacy code in Snow Leopard, which really is part of the point of this upgrade. Being nigh identical, I don't see what the fuss is about, save for simply being able to get the most recent point upgrade. PPC Macs will see the end of their service lives before Leopard even goes obsolete.

@cae758: I'd be surprised to see any PowerPC users expecting any new support, since most everything has jumped ship to Intel by now. That doesn't mean I don't still love my little 12 inch G4 PowerPC laptop.

@korybing: For the time being, we'll still be getting updates to 10.5. My 2002 PowerMac still has plenty of life left in it.
