    Man, I am going to sound like an idiot. BUT...why would I want to Jail Break my phone????


    Is there something I can do with a JB phone vs a non-JB phone?????


    If so, I am all for it, but I haven't figured out what the advantage is.

    So I'm an ATT subscriber. I have my phone jailbroken and have downloaded yellowsn0w.


    Is there some prepaid service I can use as an alternative to my ATT account? How else can this help me?

    @tptcat: If your under contract then theres nothing you can do... if your not you can go to prepaid but with no unlimited data plans what would be the point?


    This is really for people who want to use Tmobile (why would a Tmobile user care though since its more expensive to buy an iPhone 3G and they still wont get 3G, better for them to go with an iPhone 2G).


    Oh and people who want to go overseas and not pay roaming charges.

    Is it possible to unlock it and still use the normal AT&T SIM card?

    I don't plan on changing my carrier for awhile, but I'd like to just unlock it now for the heck of it

    "...the soft unlock will now be only for baseband 02.28.00 (the most recent baseband)"

    Funny - I was always told not to eat the yellow snow. My iPhone 3G doesn't work great but I don't see any reason to break it any further.
