The W series is hardly Budget Line, its the 3rd model down from their Highest end consumer ready model. Starting from cheapest to most expensive: L,M,S,V,W,Z then XBR, they will also have their HCFL power efficient LCDS which will go by a different moniker. And 500 dollars for a sound bar = average, if it's any good other wise it'll be overpriced just like ALL of sony's equipment.

Holy cow I'm an idiot! I just realized that cheapest to most expensive was in alphabetical order (-XBR). I always assumed since it's Sony it's nonsensical, but the alphabet has a song and everything to help you remember it!

Anyway, the specs on W don't sound budget so that would make sense.
