Which unfortunately places a burden on the sender to withstand this sort of mistreatment and extend that by several order of magnitude.

Yes, and he clearly heads back into the right lane after he gets back into the truck. But if he can't even let the truck come to a complete stop before jumping out, such things are probably of little concern to him.

All you need in this instance is proof that the only package that was delivered to that address was delivered by some guy who is clearly planning to try out for the company softball team.
@IH8M_SteveDave:
It's the only package delivered to that address, the recipient probably got a confirmation e-mail with the tracking number, and both UPS and the company of origin can always chase that number down if they need to. The main reason for tracking numbers on the packages is to make it easier for them to figure out where something went wrong with a delivery, to give you proof that no it did _not_ get delivered as promised, to make sure that only the authorized recipient can find out delivery status, and to allow you to find out what the status is without having to spend two hours listening to musak on the phone. They tell you that they can't pull up info without the tracking number for two reasons. One is that _anyone_ can call up and say they don't have the number handy (including your neighbor whose remaining gift list is bigger than his bank account), and the other is that it's a huge waste of time to do so just to tell someone that their t-shirt is still in transit. If they have a very specific reason, you better believe they can pull that info up without a tracking number. I think this qualifies.
@Themindtaker:
No, no, you have to wave your hands over the "enhance" button. Actually _touching_ the computer in some manner is sooooo 2007.

Good unions will explain to unsuitable individuals that they don't belong in that line of work. I knew guy who got fired from a Kroger shipping facility for lousy attendance, and he used to gripe that the union did jack to help him out. Funny thing is, it only took him a couple years to get fired for pretty much the same thing from his next non-union job.
And considering how this video has made it into public view, that's a huge strike against him that should make it a lot easier for them to fire him, especially if he's got a lot of marks against him on record.
