    Walking from one escalator to another isnt so bad, I mean it is a shopping building after all, so looking in the shops is a good thing. Escalators are cool though; as a kid I got thrown out of the Smithsonian for running up the down escalator. That was the best part of the trip...

    This set-up in the Burj Dubai? Well, 162 habitable floors X conservative guesstimate of 45 seconds/floor (including sauntering over to the start of the next escalator) = 2.025 hours to the top!

    Actually, the headline was more intriguing than the actual pictures. I was expecting some new-fangled spiral-escalator.


    Floor after floor of standard escalators slightly angled isn't very exciting or groundbreaking. But the building itself looks cool....

    @Jamaces: Prob about as long as it takes someone to run a half-marathon distance, at a solid incline... Damn that would be hard.
