    In case you have no USB port by which to charge it, yet are trapped near an electrical socket and were carrying around the AC adapter to begin with and also the building is burning down and you really want to spy on your own firey death but need to recharge your pen first and also you are wearing a shirt with a pocket in it.


    That kind of emergency.

    How about "and funtions as a pen too"? Because "and works as a fully functioning pen too" makes it sound like regular pens do something more amazing than write.


    What would that be? Stabilizing jets that allow them to hover and write by themselves?

    That's cool and all, you know, show it off to your less rich geek friends. Be adored, hell, even admired.


    Then have all the glory and fame stripped away and have the tables turned on you by your "friends" when they realize that you just spend $100 bucks on a pen.


    Really, your just setting yourself up for heartbreak.
