Beyond that, there are no details on the device, although images seem to indicate a more compact design and/or a bigger screen. There also appears to be speakers located on the face of the player—which would be a welcome addition for anyone who wants to go without headphones now and then. If this is the real deal, don't expect it to hit store shelves anytime soon. Sony Insider claims that it isn't set to arrive "for a while." [Sony Insider]

<![CDATA[Supposed Mac Mini 2009 Spy Shot Shows So Many USB Ports]]> This supposed Mac Mini 2009 spy shot from Macrumors Forum shows the bum-side of the new small-Mac design. What's new? Besides the aluminum finish, there's FIVE USB PORTS.

There's also an Ethernet port, Firewire, Mini DisplayPort and the old style mini DVI Mac display port? Two display ports? That seems odd. In any case, if this is real, it looks quite nice—and you can probably bet it'll run with at least the new Nvidia 9400 graphics chipset found in the newer MacBook and MacBook Pros. [Macrumors Forum via Apple Insider via 9 to 5 Mac]

Update: Adjusted credit. The image actually wasn't from Apple Insider, it was from Macrumors' Forums. Apple Insider just watermarked it for some reason.

<![CDATA[Unconfirmed: An Actual Picture of the New iPod Nano]]> Looks like we've got a supposedly legit, actual spy shot of the new iPod nano in its packaging (apparently originally posted by MacNN in an obscured form before getting cleared up). Thankfully, while it confirms everything we've been hearing about it, it's much, much prettier and Apple-y than what Kevin Rose provided us with, which looked like it was crapped out of a plastic robot Ewok or something before it had its picture taken. This, all assuming that it's actually a legit picture. Orange? My dream of a lime green nano on Tuesday now has wings. Update: We have changed the photo again for one without watermarks we just got in the mail. [MacNN—Thanks Mike]

<![CDATA[Nikon D700 Shots Revealed as Fake]]> Darnit darnit—that's what you'll be saying if you're an eager Nikon fan, waiting for the new mid-range D700 DSLR. Those shots we showed you in our previous rumor post? Yep: faked. Over on NikonD700.com they've got a link to the original pre-Photoshopped image on Flickr. It's of a D300, and is clearly of a higher quality and resolution than the D700 fake. See below for the full pic.

<![CDATA[Motorola Z12 Zine 5-Megapixel Cameraphone Spy Shot]]> This leaked spy shot of an upcoming 5-megapixel Motorola/Kodak cameraphone seems to confirm the rumor that MotoZINE was the name for Motorola's upcoming multimedia phone series. According to IT168.com, the Z12 is going to be announced in Q1 2008 under the ZiNE brand, and will have either a candybar or a slider form factor and a Kodak-branded camera on the back. Other rumors have it that the phone may even have GPS or Wi-Fi in it as well. As long as Moto puts enough good parts inside (5-megapixel camera, GPS, etc.), we don't care if they stick to their tired four-letter naming scheme. [it168 via Unwired View]
