    I was thinking of getting a roomba at one point, 'cause the dyson i really want to replace my old beat up vacuum with is so expensive (Plus, screw my housemates, I want my room vacuumed). Now though it just doesn't seem worth it.

    why not just make a roomba in the shape of a Reuleaux triangle. Put the little sweeper thing in a corner of the triangle and work out some algorithms to have it be able to track its way through, cleaning out square corners perfectly.
