Matt is such a damn lucky guy, I envy him. Being able to go all those places. Now it just makes my Euro-trip (one month, 9 countries) seem like a walk in the park... :(

@cowpop: One of the things he writes on his blog is to not go to Europe because it's expensive. According to him, it's easier and cheaper to go the Asia route.

Getting a corporate sponsorship deal for your trip helps too.

I just read some of his blog. I'm a bit jealous of him and, after filtering out my feelings, I have to say that his writing is a lot less obnoxious than many late Gen-X "trying to ironically prove a point" blogs like One Red Paper Clip.

That said, dancing like a fool is a bit like many late Gen-X "trying to ironically prove a point" projects like One Red Paper Clip.

The writing is good; the clever is bad. I get it - I'm an American who's never gone to Southeast Asia. I'm a terrible person.
