@Lite: is on a boat.: I made the same mistake long ago and I will never buy headphones to be trendy again. Shoddy workmanship; mine cracked at the hinges as well.

@Lite: is on a boat.: I don't know how Shure America is but Shure Canada has some of the best customer service of any company I have ever dealt with. My SE210's were acting up and I called them up and they would replace them no questions asked.

They also let you do upgrades, in that you can send in your current headphones and they will take the price you paid for them off the price of a new higher end pair.

I highly recommend them and the quality is like pumping hot fudge into my ears. Mmmmmm.....

@Nahir: I have the in-ears, but they're not convenient for work where I need to put headphones on/take them off repeatedly. Thus why I find the over-the-ears intriguing.

pricey that's more than the price of most standard mp3 plsayers, but supposedly still good quality sound

@Andre Ondre: That's really not a bad price. And I'm not really sure what you mean by "standard mp3 players". I paid $250+ for both of my current iPods which are about as standard as it gets.
