Life's easier now, because molds are unnecessary in the creation of custom desk kitsch and car parts as 3D printing got a stainless steel upgrade.

21 days and $10 per cubic centimeter is all you need after you send a CAD design to Shapeways, a company who began offering 3D resin and plastic printing quite some time ago. There are specific size and detail guidelines to keep in mind due to models being printed in layers, but based on the moebius strip complete with moving parts, those guidelines can't be all that limiting. What's going to be your first 3D steel print? [Shapeways via PopSci via CrunchGear]

<![CDATA[Blade-Covered Baby Equipment: Perfect Shower Gifts For the Antichrist]]> So you have been invited to the baby shower for the Antichrist—but what gift do you bring? Fortunately, the parents registered at Chambers Fine Art where you can find the work of one Shi Jinsong.

That is where you can find several deadly examples of stainless steel, blade-covered baby equipment. In all seriousness though, I hope I don't need to tell any of the potential parents of the year that might be lurking out there that these items are for display only. <![CDATA[Stainless Steel Speaker Is Buzzing with Life]]> Swarming with bugs and flowers, this piece was created by 3D scanning real flowers, insects and music, that were then "digitally sampled, cut, mixed, scaled and rearranged." Even cooler: It's a speaker.

The speaker, which is made out of stainless steel, is fully functional and was designed by Tord Boontje as part of the "Digital Explorers: Discovery" exhibition at Metropoliton Works center in London. Pretty cool, huh. [Art Daily via Design Boom]

<![CDATA[Umydo Humidifier Brings Class to Your Dry Air]]> As a guy who produces either way too much or way too little saliva, humidifiers are key to keep from waking up 14 times in the middle of the night to gulp down water. This Umydo Humidifier doesn't just moisten up the place, it adds a touch of class to a room that only a stainless steel quarter circle dog bowl could match. We're unclear on how the thing actually works or where the mist comes out of, but we definitely want one. [Allmodern via Oh Gizmo]

<![CDATA[Zilopop Sucks Away Bad Breath With Stainless Steel]]> This Zilopop supposedly rids your breath of weird smells by going into your mouth for two minutes. Does anyone have the science on this? Sounds and smells odd to us. In comparison, our Bongo rubs a stainless steel bar after he cuts "onions and things like that." Not to rid his hands of the stench, but because he has a steel fetish. <![CDATA[Epoq Classes Up MP4 Watches With Stainless Steel]]> Most MP4 watches look fantastic if you're 12 years old and really love plastic and rubber watches, but Epoq's latest MP4 watch brings a slight bit of class to the video watch business. Made of stainless steel, this watch has a 1.5-inch LCD screen, 2GB memory, MP4 video and MP3/WMA/WAV audio. $199 isn't cheap, but how else are you going to get video on a watch? <![CDATA[Toshiba Stainless Steel TV]]> I've always dreamt of having one of those stainless steel kitchens seen in celebrity homes, and when I make my first million and make it happen, this will be the first addition to it. Actually, screw the kitchen I think I'll get this for my small apartment. It won't match anything, but it will look sexy as hell all by it's lonesome.

<![CDATA[Stealth Stainless Steel Keyboard: Looks Badass, Costs a Ton]]> I'm telling you, trackballs are all the rage. This keyboard is ridiculously expensive at $1,200, but it is stainless steel, has a MacBook style keyboard and best of all—a freaking sweet integrated trackball! Yes! Twelve hundos is well worth it if I can get a trackball integrated into a stainless steel keyboard.

<![CDATA[Envelope Mailbox: You've Got Mail]]> There's something charming about attaching computer icons to physical objects, and when you etch that graphic onto a bit of frosted glass over stainless steel, you end up with an Envelope Mailbox that qualifies as an irresistible piece of geek chic.

Now if you could just find a mail carrier that will bring your mail all the way up to your house rather than dropping it into a mailbox that's a half-mile away, this 15.5" mailbox would make a whole lot of sense. If you're so lucky to be able to use such a thing, it's $68.
